An optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes. We Come to Believe that if we remain willing to take action, then we will continue to progress & our bodies (& minds) will be recovered. We develop Hope through our actions.
Belief that is not based on proof. We commit to this group with the Faith that as we turnover all preconceived doubts, fears, & false expectations we will get stronger & feel better One Day at a Time. We have to believe without proof, that we have equal opportunity to recovery our body, mind, & spirit.
The ability & willingness to confront fear, pain, danger, or uncertainty. We Inventory our strengths & areas needing improvement with Courage. This simple fact-finding & fact facing process is an opportunity to identify our current condition.
The quality of being honest & having strong principles. We commit to focus on areas of improvement and have Integrity with our Word that we will take appropriate action. Integrity can be accomplished through Accountability, which can help keep us on target with our actions.
The quality or state of being prepared to do something. We delve deeper into what is still holding us back from the recovery that we desire. Quite often it is our character defects, which limit our growth & recovery. We develop a Willingness to see these “survival tools” as defective & no longer useful in our lives.
The quality or state of Not thinking you are better than other people. We take our shortcomings identified in the Willingness week and we begin the workout by Humbly asking God/HP to remove them from us. With Humility we seek guidance & assistance from sources who that have the expertise & experience to lead us toward our health & fitness goals.
An association, society, or grouping of people linked by a common interest. We all desire to belong, be known, & be part of something bigger than ourselves. The value of Community will be experienced through our discussion & actions.
When one uses reason to determine the best course of action that opposes one’s desires. True use of Discipline to overcome our challenges will involve reason. Having cleared up the past we acknowledge that we are on a new path toward true health, fitness, & wellness. We Make Amends to our bodies for all the harm we have caused
Steady persistence in a course of action especially in spite of difficulties. We must Persevere in order to continue our progress & growth in recovery. We continue to take personal inventory & stay conscious of the progress of our health & fitness level. What can we do better? Where have we grown?
The ability to perceive, to feel, or to be conscious of events, objects, thoughts, or emotions. We focus our Awareness on increasing our spiritual connection as we examine some effective methods to do so. Do you stay conscious (Aware) throughout the day on how your choices may have a positive or negative effect on your health & wellness?
An act of helpful activity; help; aid; assistance. How can we be of ultimate Service to the people around us? We lead by example & create a Program of Attraction by continuing with the fitness habits that we have developed throughout this process. We must now freely give of what we have learned & experienced.
